Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies
- Valid driver's license
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work part-time schedule
- Successful completion of background check
- Successful completion of drug test
Job Qualifications
- Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies
- Proven 2 plus years with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
- Property management industry experience
- Working knowledge of Federal State and local laws and requirements related to elderly and disabled programs as well as non-governmental networks related to geriatric services
- Proven 3 plus years with Microsoft Office
Job Duties
- Providing day-to-day resident assistance to meet their needs including the development and coordination of individual logistical plans when such a service is not currently available through the general community
- Establishing relationships with local agencies and service providers
- Setting up a directory of local providers for use by both staff and residents
- Referring residents to service providers in the general community such as case management personal assistance homemakers meals-on-wheels transportation counseling occasional visiting nurses preventive health screening and legal advocacy areas
- Managing the provision of supportive services where appropriate
- Helping residents build informal support networks with other residents family and friends
- Educating other staff members on issues that can help them to better work with and assist the residents
