Job Description
The Anaheim Convention Center (ACC), owned and operated by the City of Anaheim, is the largest exhibit facility on the West Coast, renowned for hosting significant, high-profile events such as the Winter NAMM Show, Disney's D23 Expo, VidCon, and numerous other conventions, exhibits, concerts, trade and consumer shows, athletic events, and meetings. Established in 1967, ACC has expanded drastically over the decades and currently spans an impressive 53 acres with 1.8 million square feet of highly flexible function space. The center's dynamic features and state-of-the-art facilities were bolstered further by its seventh expansion, completed in Fall 2017, which added 200,000 square feet of versatile meeting space, providing guests with even more opportunities to host large and diverse events. This facility plays a pivotal role in Anaheim's local economy and cultural fabric, attracting visitors from all over the world and serving as a cornerstone venue in the event and convention industry.
We are currently looking for motivated, customer service-focused individuals to join the Event Services Division as Part-Time Duty Managers. This part-time, year-round role plays a critical supporting function, acting both as an assistant and relief for the Event Managers, who are the primary liaisons between event tenants and the City of Anaheim. The Part-Time Duty Manager may also be required to serve as Manager on Duty as assigned. This position averages about 20 hours per week; however, no minimum number of hours is guaranteed. Flexibility for working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential to meet the demands of various scheduled events. Successful candidates will participate actively in maintaining a seamless flow of communication between tenants, contractors, and staff while monitoring and ensuring the quality of services provided throughout the event tenure. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of event coordination and strong problem-solving skills to inspect and maintain facility standards, report damages, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The City of Anaheim offers competitive part-time employment, fostering an inclusive environment committed to professional growth and public service excellence. The position offers the opportunity to work in an iconic venue central to Southern California's vibrant event landscape, making it a rewarding role for professionals eager to contribute to hosting world-class events at one of the region's premier centers.
