This dedication to quality and service makes LifeSouth a trusted name in the healthcare and non-profit sector.

The position available is for a part-time Receptionist located in Gainesville, FL. This role is integral to the frontline operations of LifeSouth as it involves direct interaction with blood donors and visitors, ensuring they receive the highest quality customer service. The Receptionist is responsible for managing the initial donor registration process, which includes collecting and entering demographic data into the organization's computerized systems, printing necessary documentation, and addressing any discrepancies that arise in donor records. Beyond data management, the role demands excellent communication skills as the Receptionist answers incoming phone calls, appropriately directs visitors within the facility, and delivers an inviting and professional atmosphere that reflects the organization's values. This position requires the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work both independently and as part of a team.

Candidates interested in this opportunity should be prepared to contribute to a compassionate mission that directly impacts the health and well-being of many. The starting salary ranges from $14.50 to $15.95 per hour, reflecting the part-time nature of the role. LifeSouth also emphasizes the importance of a safe and drug-free workplace environment, requiring a criminal background check and drug screening upon conditional hire offer. As an equal opportunity employer, LifeSouth values diversity and inclusiveness, encouraging veterans and individuals with disabilities to apply. The organization strictly adheres to federal, state, and local laws regarding workplace safety, discrimination, and family medical leave, ensuring a supportive and fair work environment.
