Job Description

Right At School is a respected provider of before and after school extended day programs, partnering with local school districts to offer children disguised learning activities combined with daily enrichment. Located in Winnetka, Illinois, the Program Manager role at Right At School offers a vital leadership position within this educational organization. The Program Manager is expected to uphold the company's mission by promoting safety, joy, and operational excellence in before and after school programs. With a pay rate ranging from $21 to $26 per hour, based on education and experience, this role operates Monday through Friday with morning and afternoon shifts from 6:45 AM to 8:30 AM and 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM respectively, aligning with the school district's calendar. Starting with a self-led online training in mid-July, followed by in-person training in early August, this position marks the beginning of a fulfilling career dedicated to direct impact in children’s daily learning and extracurricular experiences.

The Program Manager acts as a role model and leader, ensuring safety and joy are maintained across program operations. This includes overseeing staff adherence to attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures, and keeping program paperwork and licensing current. Chronicling consistent coaching and fostering respectful relationships within the team, the Program Manager ensures operational efficiency while promoting a positive and productive work environment. Responsibilities extend to maintaining up-to-date records, managing compliance with state and district requirements such as MMR proof, First Aid and CPR certifications, and tuberculosis clearances. The role requires excellent communication skills to build meaningful relationships with families, client partners, peers, and children, ensuring transparent and effective dialogue during program hours.

Candidates for this position should bring relevant experience working with children, including those with unique and special needs, and possess foundational coursework or training in child development or related fields. Familiarity with Google technology or an eagerness to learn it is also advantageous. The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in driving program quality by implementing daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while safeguarding a nurturing and engaging environment that supports children's growth and joy. Job Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • proof of high school diploma or ged required
  • ability to meet state-specific requirements
  • first aid and cpr in-person certification
  • cleared tuberculosis test
  • availability to work monday through friday both shifts in their entirety
