Job Requirements
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements
- LIVE Scan fingerprint background check
- Mandated Reporter training
- 18 plus years of age
- Proof of High School diploma or GED required
- First Aid and CPR-in-person EMSA 16 Hour Prevention Health certification required or willingness to acquire
- Cleared tuberculosis test
- 48 units at an institution of higher learning or obtain an Associate's or higher degree or pass the District's Instructional Assistant written examination
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED completed
- Experience working with children including knowledge of unique and special needs
- Coursework or training in child development or related field
- Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills with adults and children
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn
- Experience managing competing priorities and delivering quality service to stakeholders
Job Duties
- Exhibit role model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting team roles and responsibilities
- Support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date
- Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures ensuring program tasks are completed effectively
- Continually coach and foster respectful relationships among staff to maintain team cohesion and productivity
- Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure participant well-being and mitigate risks
- Engage with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building
- Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs following company policy
- Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum to provide a safe and engaging environment
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support program goals and implement changes
