The Program Manager role at Right At School is an essential leadership position within the organization, offering a unique opportunity to influence the daily experience of students by ensuring the delivery of safe and joyful programs. The role begins with the 2025-2026 academic school year, and qualified candidates will commence their work in August 2025. Pay rates for this role range from $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, dependent on education and experience, reflecting the importance of expertise and commitment required.
Program Managers at Right At School work closely with local schools to manage site-specific schedules, enforce safety procedures, and uphold behavior expectations, all while fostering a positive and engaging environment for children. The role demands strong communication skills to connect effectively with families, school partners, and staff, facilitating transparency and collaboration. Additionally, the Program Manager is responsible for maintaining up-to-date documentation, ensuring compliance with licensing and safety standards, and implementing the daily curriculum including fitness activities, enrichment, and other learning experiences.
Beyond operational duties, the Program Manager cultivates a supportive team culture through continual coaching and respectful communication, resolving challenges promptly to maintain productivity and cohesiveness. They also play a pivotal role in safety assurance, requiring consistent monitoring of participant wellbeing and adherence to MMR proof submission protocols. This position offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to children’s growth by combining administrative leadership with hands-on care and interaction within a structured, nurturing educational setting.

Job Requirements
- 18+ years of age
- proof of high school diploma/GED required
- ability to meet state-specific requirements
- first Aid and CPR-in-person
- cleared tuberculosis test
- be at least 21 years of age
- have completed the approved 40 clock-hour Introductory Child Care Training approved by the Department
- have completed the Department’s Part II specialized training course, Special Needs Appropriate Practices or a minimum of eight hours of in-service training in serving children with disabilities
- or have completed the Department’s 10-hour School-Age Appropriate Practices specialized training module or the 5-hour Understanding Developmentally Appropriate Practices course and the 5-hour School Age Appropriate Practices course
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED completed
- experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs
- coursework or training in child development and/or related field
- communication skills oral, written, and visual with adults and children
- ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community
- familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn
Job Duties
- exhibit role model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities to a team of staff members
- support operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date
- outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively
- continually coach and foster respectful relationships among staff to address challenges promptly
- consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure well-being of participants
- engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support communication and relationship building
- maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs and ensure attendance procedures are completed per company policy
- implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment
