The role of Event Coordinator at the Michaels store located in Tucson-Irvington, AZ, is a dynamic and rewarding position designed to elevate the customer experience by planning, coordinating, and facilitating events within the store. This role primarily focuses on organizing activities such as children's birthday parties and various craft classes or special events, aimed at creating a stress-free, fun, and engaging atmosphere for guests. Key responsibilities include orchestrating multiple events simultaneously, demonstrating craft project instructions, performing activities such as face painting, and managing party add-ons that align with company standards. Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects, perform face painting and other activities
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs
  • Create backup or emergency plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • Uphold company's cleanliness and safety standards
  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and credit cards
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys
  • Assist with Omni channel processes
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planograms
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
