The Security Officer position at Securitas in Worcester, MA, is a critical role responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients. Working primarily overnight from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Friday and Saturday shifts, the Security Officer earns $21.00 per hour. This role involves actively monitoring premises through surveillance and patrols, enforcing regulations, and providing a visible security presence. Officers serve as the first line of defense against criminal activities by closely observing the environment and responding promptly to any incidents or emergencies, including medical situations or fire hazards. Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliable means of communication and transportation
- Legal right to work in the United States
- Ability to effectively speak, read, and write English
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Job Duties
- Monitor security cameras and patrol assigned premises to detect suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or safety hazards
- Enforce access control policies by checking identification, issuing visitor passes, and restricting access to authorized personnel
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security incidents such as medical emergencies, fire hazards, and criminal activity, reporting or escalating to law enforcement as necessary
- Document and report incidents, suspicious activities, breaches of security, and safety concerns with clear, accurate, and detailed reports
- Conduct foot or vehicle patrols to ensure security of entrances, parking lots, and perimeters, checking for unlocked or tampered doors, windows, and gates
- Greet and assist visitors and employees by providing directions and answering inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Inspect premises regularly for safety hazards, fire risks, or conditions that could compromise individual or property safety
- Use conflict resolution skills to handle minor disputes or disturbances, maintaining a calm and safe environment
- Collaborate closely with other security staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders to coordinate security efforts and incident responses
