Committed to fostering educational excellence, the district emphasizes a core purpose of "High expectations, high achievement for all. No excuses," ensuring tailored support to meet the diverse needs of every student. Recognized for its dedication to personalized learning, the district cultivates a culture of innovation and creativity, leveraging human-centered design thinking. This environment empowers educators and staff with the freedom and flexibility to develop innovative learning methodologies that prioritize student engagement and continuous improvement in academic success.

The role of Part Time Nutrition Services Worker at Centerview Elementary School holds significant importance in supporting the health and wellbeing of young learners. This part-time position involves working approximately 5.5 hours daily during school days from 7:45 AM to 1:15 PM, following the school calendar from September through June, including two additional training days. The role starts immediately, offering a competitive wage of $20.30 per hour, with additional pay incentives such as a $1.00 per hour differential for those holding Certified Food Manager certification and longevity pay ranging from $1.50 to $2.75 per hour. This employment is ideal for individuals who are dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about providing excellent customer service in a school cafeteria setting.

In this role, the Nutrition Services Worker will be responsible for food preparation, serving meals, operating as a cashier, and managing dishwashing operations under the guidance of the kitchen manager. The position requires adherence to strict food safety and sanitation regulations in compliance with the Minnesota Food Code as well as Department Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards. The worker will be part of a dedicated team serving over 300 breakfasts and 500 lunches daily to students in grades K-4, ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience for all.

Key qualities for success in the Nutrition Services Worker position include a positive attitude, excellent teamwork skills, and a strong commitment to ongoing learning. Candidates must demonstrate a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with students, staff, and fellow team members. Continuous job-related training (minimum of 4 hours annually) is required to maintain and enhance professional standards and knowledge in food service practices.

Spring Lake Park Schools maintains an equal opportunity employment policy, emphasizing nondiscrimination on the basis of sex, race, religion, color, creed, national origin, marital status, age, sexual preference, disability, or public assistance status.
