The role of a Part-Time Night Auditor at Maya Hotels is a critical position that blends front desk operations with detailed financial auditing and overnight guest services. This role is designed for individuals who are hardworking, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality. Night Auditors serve as the overnight representatives of the hotel, handling guest check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, and ensuring guest satisfaction during the night hours. Additionally, this role is responsible for conducting detailed audits of financial transactions, including guest folios, cash handling, and credit card charges, all while maintaining accurate financial records and reports.
The Night Auditor ensures that daily revenue is reconciled, discrepancies are resolved, and management receives timely reports such as the Night Audit Report, Revenue Report, and Occupancy Report. Security is also a key responsibility, as the Night Auditor monitors hotel access and safety protocols to protect guests and property during overnight hours. The role requires someone adept in computer systems, hotel property management software, and basic accounting principles, capable of multitasking and providing excellent customer service under pressure.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in front office or night audit roles preferred
- excellent communication skills
- good problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
- proficiency with computer systems and hotel management software
- cash handling experience
- flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift items up to 25lbs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- additional education in accounting or hospitality preferred
- previous experience in front office operations or night audit roles desirable
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- ability to think quickly and resolve guest issues efficiently
- ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- proficiency in computer systems, hotel property management software, and basic accounting principles
- familiarity with cash handling, processing transactions, and balancing a cash drawer
- ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Perform guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately
- provide excellent customer service addressing guest inquiries, requests, and concerns
- manage reservations and ensure all guest information is accurate in the system
- assist with guest needs including wake-up calls, room changes, and additional amenities
- handle guest issues professionally and work to resolve them promptly
- conduct a detailed audit of financial transactions including guest folios, cash handling, and credit card charges
- reconcile daily revenue, verify postings, and resolve discrepancies
- prepare and distribute reports such as Night Audit Report, Revenue Report, and Occupancy Report for hotel management
- close the day’s financial activities and generate the Daily Flash Report
- ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures
- maintain financial records including guest ledgers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- process and review invoices for accuracy before forwarding to accounting
- assist with month-end financial reporting and statements
- monitor and control cash handling procedures ensuring secure storage of funds
- maintain a secure environment for guests and employees throughout the night
- monitor hotel access and ensure safety of property and guests
- respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical situations, or security concerns according to hotel protocols
- adhere to Maya Hotels' policies, procedures, and Code of Ethics
- maintain a clean and professional personal appearance according to Grooming Policy
- promote a safe working environment and comply with safety regulations
- participate in sustainability initiatives including recycling and energy conservation
