The HomeGoods Store located at 7055 Market Place Drive in Aurora, Ohio is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Floor Care Associate. This hourly position offers a starting pay range of $13.50 to $14.00 per hour, with the exact starting wage determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and prior experience. This role is ideal for someone who is physically active, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to maintaining an excellent shopping environment.

As a Floor Care Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the HomeGoods store remains clean, safe, and well-organized by performing a variety of cleaning tasks such as operating the scrubber and buffer machines, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. In addition to floor care duties, you will be cross-trained to assist in multiple areas of the store including the backroom, customer service front end, and sales floor. This cross-training helps support the operational needs of the business and provides you with the opportunity to develop a broad skill set. The role also demands adherence to all company policies including health and safety standards, loss prevention controls, and merchandising procedures.

A key part of your responsibilities will include role modeling excellent customer experience practices both internally with associates and externally with customers. The position requires a positive attitude, flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules, and the physical stamina to handle demanding cleaning tasks. You should be comfortable lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation and demonstrate strong communication skills. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in retail or cleaning roles preferred
  • ability to operate floor care equipment such as scrubbers and buffers
  • capable of standing for extended periods

Job Duties
