Currently, American Greetings is hiring Merchandisers to join their team. This role is vital in ensuring that their products are properly displayed, well-stocked, and attractively organized within various retail environments. Merchandisers work independently, visiting assigned stores to maintain inventory levels, set up displays, and provide excellent merchandising services.
The position offers starting pay at $14.00 per hour with scheduled increases to $14.80 after six months and $15.50 after one year of continuous employment, with pay rates potentially varying based on location. The ability to work flexible hours is important as the role involves servicing retail locations mostly during daytime business hours, with increased hours around major holidays. The role specifically services retail locations at 10801 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX, and 9660 Westheimer, with an average of 8 hours per week, and up to 10 hours during peak holiday seasons. Responsibilities include merchandising and organizing product orders, maintaining clean and organized backroom areas, and building positive relationships with store associates and management. Merchandisers are expected to have strong time management and organizational skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting.
Merchandisers will utilize a company-issued tablet for scheduling and managing their weekly workloads and must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Additional duties may include assisting with store resets such as minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as needed. While no prior experience is necessary as training will be provided, candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and have reliable transportation to access multiple retail locations on their route.

Job Duties
- Service stores on your assigned route including merchandising and organizing product orders
- Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
- Maintain organized backroom areas
- Communicate with management any questions or concerns regarding service or schedules
- Work in a fast-paced retail environment utilizing effective time management and organizational skills
- Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management
- Provide occasional assistance with store resets including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal
- Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet
- Work independently and with a team
