The role being offered is a Food and Beverage Server position within this esteemed private club. The position involves delivering high-level food and beverage service to club members and their guests. This is a full-time or part-time employment opportunity that emphasizes excellent interpersonal skills, thorough understanding of the club's menus and beverages, and an ability to work well within a team to ensure smooth operations in the dining room. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide array of duties including setup of service stations, taking and entering orders into the POS system, coordinating with kitchen and management, and maintaining a pleasant dining atmosphere throughout the guest's visit.

This position requires a commitment to providing friendly and professional service, which includes greeting members by name, carefully attending to their requests, and ensuring an overall enjoyable dining experience. The Food and Beverage Server must be knowledgeable about the club's offerings, capable of suggesting after-dinner drinks, desserts, and ensuring prompt replenishment of table items such as water and condiments. They must also be able to adhere closely to the club's service manual, guaranteeing high standards of presentation and dining etiquette. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities such as assisting with club events setup, managing side work duties, attending pre- and post-meal meetings, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the service areas.

Candidates who thrive in fast-paced, member-focused hospitality environments and who have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs comfortably will find this position suitable. While prior experience in food and beverage service is advantageous, training and support in areas such as RAMP certification will be provided to ensure full compliance and guest safety. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • RAMP certified or ability to pass RAMP certification test
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Able to travel stairs easily

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a professional and courteous manner
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menus and POS systems is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to attend training such as RAMP certification

Job Duties

  • Setup side station and perform assigned side work
  • Provide high level of cordial and efficient service to all members/guests upon arrival
  • Keep conversation light and professional
  • Develop complete knowledge of club menus, beverage lists, and POS system
  • Greet members (by name) and distribute menus
  • Take orders and enter into the POS system
  • Communicate with kitchen, runners, and Dining Room Manager
  • Inform kitchen about any special requests or allergies
  • Serve and clear food and beverage according to club service manual
  • Check back to ensure member/guest satisfaction
  • Replenish water, butter, rolls, condiments as necessary
  • Clear tables onto bus tray and remove from dining area
  • Suggest and serve after dinner drinks, coffee, and dessert
  • Remain visible and available in the Dining Room
  • Keep tables in all rooms and Service Station clean and neat
  • Reset tables according to club standards
  • Advise supervisors of any complaints as they occur
  • Present check to member and thank them
  • Attend pre/post meal meetings as required
  • Perform closing side work duties
  • Answer phone in service area in a polite and professional manner
  • Assist with set up of club events in the Grille Room
  • Any additional tasks seen fit by Management
