Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2 years of line cook experience preferred
  • Knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to follow directions and maintain quality under pressure
  • Completion of Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Assist the Sous Chef and butcher in cutting meat following quality standards and procedures
  • Communicate frequently with the Sous Chef regarding kitchen operations, equipment, sanitation, inventory, and food quality
  • Assist side cook and other kitchen personnel in food preparation as assigned
  • Ensure all food items are prepared according to company specifications, recipes, and quality standards
  • Correctly time and prepare food products to meet guests' needs
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient broil station and kitchen line
  • Monitor par and stock levels of meats, poultry, seafood, and kitchen supplies
  • Cook and season eggs in various preparations
  • Select correct cuts of meat and ensure proper cooking temperatures
  • Clean the broiler and maintain its optimal temperature during shifts
  • Adhere to sanitation and food safety guidelines, report unsafe conditions
  • Return unused meat products to storage at the end of shifts
  • Support Back-of-House positions to ensure seamless guest experience
  • Complete all closing duties and assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness
