The position of Part-Time Line Cook at IR Eats is a pivotal role within the kitchen team, ideal for someone who has a passion for cooking, a dedication to quality, and a heart for serving others. This role supports the Head Chef by assisting in daily kitchen operations, preparing ingredients, and cooking menu items with attention to detail and consistency. The Line Cook works within a fast-paced, high-volume environment to ensure every dish meets the ministry's standards for quality and taste. Beyond culinary duties, the Line Cook is expected to contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen while adhering to health and safety regulations. This role is also a ministry position requiring the individual to witness their faith through their work and interactions, acting as a positive representative of Indian Rocks Baptist Church. The job involves close cooperation with church leaders, volunteers, and staff, making it a collaborative and spiritually rewarding position. Schedule flexibility is required as the role supports various meal services and church events. This part-time position offers an opportunity to grow culinary skills alongside experienced kitchen staff while serving a greater mission of community care and fellowship. Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting is ideal but not required
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques food safety and kitchen equipment
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced high-volume environment
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Responsible to perform the other duties as assigned and approved by supervising personnel including but not limited to Lead Pastor Church Administrator Associate Pastors Generations Pastor or Personnel Committee

Job Qualifications

  • Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry
  • Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the Mission Statement Statement of Faith and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks Church
  • Must be an active member of Indian Rocks as defined by regular attendance in worship service regular attendance or involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group commitment to systematic stewardship and faithful in tithing
  • Positive attitude strong teamwork skills and a heart for serving others
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills with a willingness to take direction and adapt as needed

Job Duties

  • Support the Head Chef in food preparation tasks including chopping vegetables cutting meats and preparing ingredients according to the day’s prep sheet
  • Prepare and cook menu items following standard recipes ensuring quality consistency and taste in every dish
  • Help maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness adhering to health safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations including food presentation and plating
  • Monitor and label food inventory ensuring proper storage and reducing waste
  • Participate in brainstorming new menu items specials and promotions alongside the Head Chef
  • Work in cooperation with all levels of management support staff personnel church leaders volunteers members and guests to fulfil the mission of Indian Rocks
