The Line Cook role at Legends is integral to maintaining the high standards expected in a fine dining culinary environment. This position demands quick and efficient service to customers, focusing on preparing high-quality food while upholding sanitation and safety standards. Reporting to the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisors, the Line Cook is responsible for following specific opening and closing procedures and preparing food according to established portion sizes, quality standards, and company policies. Maintaining proper food temperatures, cleanliness of the kitchen area, and sanitation of dining and cooking utensils are core duties that contribute to the overall dining experience and compliance with health regulations.

This role requires a team player with a strong work ethic who understands the demands of a fast-paced dining environment. Attention to detail in food preparation, equipment handling, and kitchen hygiene helps ensure unrivaled service and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years working in a fast-paced high-end club or restaurant
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced, team orientated setting
  • Ability to lift and transport food and other items weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
  • Ability to work all Prudential Center events including extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing and pulling for extended periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Professional training through culinary education or experience in fast-paced, high-volume fine dining restaurant or catering facility
  • Ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced, team orientated setting
  • Able to read, speak and write English
  • Ability to lift and transport food and other items up to 30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
  • Ability to work all Prudential Center events including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Sufficient mobility to perform production tasks including reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing and pulling
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary training preferred
  • Three years working in fast-paced high-end club or restaurant

Job Duties

  • Provide quick and efficient service to customers
  • Follow Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisors assignments for opening and closing procedures and food preparation
  • Prepare food items by complying with portion size, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures
  • Ensure that proper food temperatures are maintained
  • Maintain safety standards, neatness and sanitation of work areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen including shelves, walls, floors and drains
  • Maintain proper sanitation for all dining and cooking utensils and cookware
  • Handle and clean kitchen equipment carefully and safely to prevent damage or injury
  • Adhere to company guidelines for appearance and uniform standards
