The position available is for a Part-time Line Cook role. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards that Yolked Kitchen aims to uphold. The Line Cook will be responsible for cooking a range of menu items including eggs, meats, poultry, and seafood, ensuring every dish meets the quality, timing, and presentation standards the restaurant promises. With a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and various shifts, the role offers an hourly wage between $17.00 and $22.00, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. This includes assisting with meat cutting, monitoring food preparation processes, reporting kitchen issues, and upholding sanitary and safety standards. Job Duties

  • Assists the Sous Chef and/or butcher in cutting meat following specifications and quality standards
  • Communicates frequently with the Sous Chef to report problems or discrepancies within the kitchen including equipment, sanitation, food supply, inventory, food quality, and timing
  • Assists side cooks and other kitchen personnel in food preparation as assigned
  • Prepares all food products according to company standards and procedures
  • Ensures all food items are prepared according to company specifications, recipes, presentation, and quality standards
  • Correctly cooks and seasons eggs in a variety of preparations
  • Maintains the broil station and kitchen line ensuring cleanliness, efficiency, and minimum noise
  • Checks par and stock levels of meats, poultry, seafood, condiments, garnishes, plate ware and smallware, communicating discrepancies to the Sous Chef
  • Maintains highest degree of sanitation and food safety throughout the shift, reporting unsafe conditions or injuries
  • Supports other back-of-house positions as needed to ensure seamless guest experience
  • Completes all station closing duties and assists in overall kitchen cleanliness and closing procedures
