Reporting directly to the Lerner Services Coordinator, the janitor works diligently to complete a broad range of cleaning tasks and light maintenance duties critical to the upkeep of the facility. This includes daily cleaning routines such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal, as well as periodic tasks like carpet cleaning, painting, and replacement of light bulbs. The janitor’s role extends beyond routine cleaning to support show production requirements, which entails labor assistance as needed during events.

The ideal candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or GED complemented by experience in janitorial and light maintenance work. The role demands a self-motivated individual who can perform their duties with minimal supervision while adhering strictly to safety practices. Physical agility and strength are essential, as the position involves lifting, shoveling, and moving equipment and furniture of significant weight. Additionally, the janitor must be capable of reading and comprehending general maintenance manuals and be open to learning new techniques when instructed.
