Job Description
Hawthorne is a leading multifamily management company known as one of the top 50 largest in the United States, proudly rooted in the Southeast. They manage award-winning apartment communities with a commitment to exceptional service and community building. Hawthorne's culture, known as Live It, emphasizes service, connection, and exceeding expectations. This culture inspires every employee to contribute to an environment where residents feel welcomed and valued, making their apartment communities more than just places to live — but places to call home.
The company is currently seeking part-time Leasing Consultants — titled Leasing & Live It Specialists — who play a pivotal role as the friendly face and ambassador of the community’s Live It culture. This role is essential in creating standout experiences and building meaningful relationships with prospective and current residents. Leasing Consultants engage with potential residents through personalized apartment tours that highlight lifestyle and community advantages, responding promptly and thoroughly to inquiries by phone, email, and web. These specialists facilitate leasing processes by assisting with applications, conducting verifications, and completing move-in paperwork accurately. They contribute directly to occupancy and renewal goals, supporting the community’s success.
Beyond leasing, these consultants foster resident relationships by coordinating resident events, addressing questions and concerns empathetically, and maintaining a welcoming environment within the office and common areas. They also contribute to marketing efforts by promoting the property through social media and community outreach while staying informed about local market trends and competitor offerings.
Success in this role is driven by a positive attitude, clear communication skills, a customer-service focus aligned with the Live It culture, persuasive abilities, and a willingness to learn and grow professionally within Hawthorne. The work schedule offers flexibility with a 40-hour week that includes weekdays and Saturdays, with some evening or weekend shifts potentially required for events. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with preference given to those having customer service or leasing experience. A valid driver's license is required, and a Certified Apartment Leasing Professional (CALP) accreditation is a plus.
Hawthorne emphasizes growth and development, offering a Career Path Program and ongoing learning opportunities aimed at helping employees advance, possibly into full-time maintenance roles or community management. The company provides competitive hourly wages paired with monthly leasing commissions and incentive programs. Additional benefits include health and wellness subscriptions, financial wellness reimbursements, gym reimbursements, and access to an employee assistance program. Further perks include employee discounts on travel, retail, furnished suites, and pet insurance, along with opportunities for community service and team building. Hawthorne values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, inviting passionate, hardworking individuals looking to make a meaningful impact and be part of a vibrant community culture to apply and join their team.
