Job Description
Valet Living is a leading provider of valet trash and other essential services to apartment communities across the United States. The company is committed to delivering high-quality, dependable service while fostering a supportive workplace culture that emphasizes growth, leadership, and excellence. Valet Living stands out in the industry by not only focusing on efficient trash collection and logistics but also by investing in its people, offering clear career advancement opportunities and a positive work environment where every employee is valued. With a strong customer-first philosophy and an innovative approach utilizing mobile technology, Valet Living continues to expand and thrive in a competitive market.
The Lead Service Valet role at Valet Living is a pivotal position that supports operational excellence and team leadership within the apartment service sector. This full-time, hourly position offers a competitive pay rate of $21 per hour with evening shifts typically scheduled Sunday through Thursday, although flexibility is available. Mileage reimbursement is provided monthly to support travel requirements. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Lead Service Valet takes hands-on responsibility for maintaining service quality, supporting service team members, and stepping in to lead operations when Area Leaders are not available. The role balances reactive problem-solving with proactive trend analysis, requiring strong organizational skills, leadership potential, and an ability to adapt quickly to the dynamic field environment.
Key responsibilities include managing service routes, training and onboarding new Service Valets, conducting service quality audits, and swiftly responding to field issues. The Lead Service Valet ensures that operational goals are met by identifying recurring problems and proposing improvements, supporting multiple districts as needed, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and colleagues alike. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to grow into management positions within Valet Living, as it offers critical leadership experience and a path to becoming an Area Leader. Beyond the core duties, new client launches, container delivery, and community event support are part of the diverse tasks that keep this position engaging and essential.
Valet Living values a customer-first mindset and a strong work ethic coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and willing to walk considerable distances during shifts. A valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle with an open bed or trailer are required, as is a smartphone with a data plan for mobile app usage (a biweekly stipend is provided to offset data costs). Experience in logistics, valet trash, or field services is preferred but not mandatory. The company promotes an inclusive culture, embracing diversity and offering a workplace free from discrimination in compliance with all applicable laws.
Working at Valet Living offers more than just a job – it presents a career opportunity with a supportive team environment, active work outdoors, and the flexibility of DailyPay for fast-earned wages. Employees benefit from a structured leadership development program and meaningful interpersonal connections that contribute to both personal and professional growth. This job is perfect for motivated individuals ready to make an impact in their community while building a long-term career in a thriving service industry.
