Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in laundry operations or a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and stain removal techniques
- Ability to identify stains, damage, and quality issues in linens
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift and carry up to 30lbs
- Ability to stand, walk and bend for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a warm, humid environment due to laundry equipment
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as folding, loading, and unloading machines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in laundry operations or a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment, stain removal techniques, and laundry chemicals
- Ability to identify stains, damage, and quality issues in linens
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy laundry items
- Strong organizational skills and time management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Basic communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
Job Duties
- Sorting and processing hotel linens, uniforms, towels, and laundry items according to guidelines
- Inspecting stains, damages, or necessary repairs before laundering
- Operating industrial washing machines, dryers, pressers, and other laundry equipment efficiently and safely
- Treating stains on different fabrics using appropriate techniques before laundering
- Folding, stacking, and packaging laundered items neatly according to hotel standards
- Maintaining inventory of linens, uniforms, and laundry supplies and reporting shortages or damages
- Inspecting laundered items to meet quality standards and replacing or repairing damaged items
- Following safety protocols and reporting equipment malfunctions
- Collaborating with housekeeping and maintenance teams
- Adhering to hotel policies including sanitation standards and confidentiality
