The Housekeeper position at the Mansion Hill Inn is crucial to the inn's daily operations. Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms efficiently and thoroughly, ensuring that all areas meet the inn's high standards of cleanliness and comfort. This role requires self-motivation, excellent communication, and teamwork. Housekeepers assist each other and coordinate their efforts to meet daily goals before guest arrivals. They contribute creatively to refining the housekeeping department and help set the service benchmarks that define the guest experience at MHI. This position demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for genuine hospitality.

Working hours for this role are Monday through Friday between 10 am and 6 pm, with availability on weekends as needed. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous relevant experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday between 10 am and 6 pm with weekend availability
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and hygiene protocols
  • Reliable and self-motivated work ethic

Job Duties

  • Cleaning guest rooms by making beds, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, replenishing toiletries and towels, doing laundry
  • Attending to the inn’s overall cleanliness by tidying common areas, polishing surfaces, and dusting
  • Inspecting rooms in time for arrivals
  • Communicating the status of rooms with the rest of the team
  • Collaborating with team members to meet daily housekeeping goals
  • Maintaining equipment and reporting maintenance needs
  • Adhering to the inn’s safety and hygiene standards
