Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of relevant food and beverage or restaurant experience
- prior experience in food and beverage service
- ability to maintain professional demeanor
- availability for part-time, on-call, or temporary employment
- effective communication skills
- basic computer proficiency
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- college degree preferred with emphasis on hospitality and tourism
- 1 to 2 years of previous restaurant or food and beverage experience required
- luxury hotel experience preferred
- knowledge of POS and reservation systems preferred
Job Duties
- Meet and greet guests as they arrive and depart
- offer choice of seating and escort guests to their tables
- present menus maintaining standard presentation
- maintain proper dining room setup and cleanliness
- promptly answer telephone and input messages
- retrieve and communicate messages to guests
- retrieve mail, packages, and facsimiles as requested
- receive and manage reservations and special function arrangements
- cooperate closely with restaurant and kitchen team
- act as liaison between guests and other hotel departments
- inspect linen, china, silverware, and condiments
- clear tables during and after meal periods
- maintain cleanliness of host/hostess stand
