Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to learn product, menu, and allergy information
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn point-of-sale and reservation systems
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Food Handler Certification if applicable
  • Flexible availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Able to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant point-of-sale system and reservation system
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Real passion for hospitality
  • Food Handler Certification if applicable
  • Flexible schedule and able to work weekends, nights, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet all restaurant guests and provide knowledgeable information about the area
  • Provide fair and consistent seating of guests
  • Accurately handle paperwork, stock and tidy the host stand
  • Receive incoming calls and accurately book reservations for guests
  • Take room service orders if applicable
  • Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness and assist in bussing tables
  • Help servers by refilling beverages when needed
  • Perform other restaurant and customer service related requests for guests
  • Take on responsibilities outside of job description as needed
