Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Ability to learn product, menu, and allergy information
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn point-of-sale and reservation systems
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Flexible availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Able to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests
- Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant point-of-sale system and reservation system
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Real passion for hospitality
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Flexible schedule and able to work weekends, nights, and holidays
Job Duties
- Greet all restaurant guests and provide knowledgeable information about the area
- Provide fair and consistent seating of guests
- Accurately handle paperwork, stock and tidy the host stand
- Receive incoming calls and accurately book reservations for guests
- Take room service orders if applicable
- Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness and assist in bussing tables
- Help servers by refilling beverages when needed
- Perform other restaurant and customer service related requests for guests
- Take on responsibilities outside of job description as needed
