The company focuses on delivering personalized treatment plans, leveraging cutting-edge research and technologies to improve patient outcomes. Forefront Dermatology is committed not only to clinical excellence but also to fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment for its team members. As a part-time employer, Forefront seeks professionals who are dedicated to making a meaningful impact every day within a fast-paced healthcare setting. The organization prioritizes continuous learning and development opportunities to help employees thrive and advance their careers.
The role of Histology Technician, Certified, at Forefront Dermatology is an exciting opportunity to work closely with dermatopathologists by preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination. This position is integral to the diagnostic process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of samples, which ultimately supports effective patient treatment plans. The Histology Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of complex and precise histological procedures including grossing, fixation, embedding, microtomy, cutting, mounting, and staining of tissue specimens. This part-time position requires working 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain compliance with clinical laboratory regulations and quality assurance protocols. Working within a collaborative team environment, the technician will manage multiple priorities in a busy lab while upholding high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
Forefront offers a competitive benefits package even to part-time employees, including access to health, dental, and vision insurance, a health savings account with a $500 matching contribution, paid time off and holiday pay eligibility, and opportunities for company-sponsored life insurance and disability plans for full-time employees. Additional benefits cover accident and critical illness insurance options, 401K retirement plans with employer contribution, profit sharing, and employee discounts, among others. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for histology and pathology, want to collaborate with skilled professionals, and seek a role that challenges their technical expertise while contributing to patient care excellence. The Histology Technician at Forefront will be viewed as an essential part of the diagnostic workflow, requiring not just technical competence but also strong communication skills and ethical judgment to handle sensitive medical information.
