Lowe's Companies, Inc. (NYSE: LOW) is a renowned FORTUNE 100 home improvement company that plays a significant role in the retail industry, serving approximately 16 million customer transactions weekly. With total fiscal year 2025 sales exceeding $86 billion, Lowe's operates over 1,700 home improvement stores, 530 branches, and 130 distribution centers alongside employing around 300,000 associates. Headquartered in Mooresville, North Carolina, Lowe's is dedicated to supporting communities through various programs aimed at creating safe and affordable housing, enhancing community spaces, fostering the development of skilled trade experts, and providing disaster relief assistance. These efforts showcase Lowe's commitment beyond retail by contributing positively to communities nationwide.
As a leadership-driven and customer-focused organization, Lowe's continually emphasizes quality service, employee growth, and operational excellence. The company culture promotes inclusivity and equal opportunity employment, ensuring personnel practices remain free from discrimination on any protected grounds under federal, state, or local law.
The role at Lowe's offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and retail operations to contribute meaningfully to a leading home improvement retailer. This position primarily involves providing smart and attentive customer service by executing Lowe’s established customer service policies, procedures, and programs daily. The incumbent is tasked with sourcing customers, identifying their needs, assisting them in locating merchandise, demonstrating product purposes, providing selections, and supporting physical handling such as carrying or loading merchandise when needed. This role also demands excellent communication skills for answering queries related to stock availability, special orders, product benefits, applications, and warranty programs.
Another vital aspect of this position is employee development and team engagement, where the individual will coach, develop, provide feedback, and train associates in departmental duties or sales opportunities, particularly for the Customer Service Associate (CSA) Front End Team. The role entails the operation of cash registers to manage sales transactions, returns, refunds, and ensuring proper monetary change for CSA associates. The employee will also be responsible for maintaining register areas, inspecting merchandise returns, managing customer orders, verifying price matching, and logging used store items.
Security vigilance is another critical responsibility since the role requires monitoring merchandise movement, identifying signs of theft or shoplifting, and coordinating with management or Asset Protection for effective loss prevention. Maintenance of store cleanliness, adherence to safety regulations, and effective use of various store equipment are further facets of this multifaceted position.
Overall, the role at Lowe's is integral to delivering a superior shopping experience, contributing to store operations, ensuring safety, and fostering an efficient and respectful work environment. Candidates who are customer service oriented, capable of multitasking in a dynamic retail setting, and driven to support team success will find this position rewarding and impactful within a reputable and community-oriented organization like Lowe's.
