The Front End Team role at Lowe's is pivotal in ensuring a seamless and outstanding customer experience through high-quality service and operational support. The Front End Team member must be adept at operating cash registers, handling monetary exchanges, and managing order processing while ensuring compliance with store safety and security standards. Additionally, this role demands strong communication skills, as team members must explain product features, benefits, warranties, and Lowe's programs, enhancing the overall customer shopping experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, less than 1 year experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information, less than 1 year experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets, 1 year retail experience as a cashier, ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as required by law

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience, less than 1 year experience using a computer including inputting and accessing information, less than 1 year experience with retail technology such as smartphones and tablets, 1 year retail cashier experience, ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required, experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs including add-on sales and warranties, experience as a head cashier, experience working in any Lowe's retail department, supervisory experience including training and coaching employees, retail experience detecting signs of shoplifting

Job Duties

  • Provide SMART customer service through execution of Lowe's policies, assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise, respond knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, communicate information on stock, special orders, benefits, and warranties, coach and train associates in departmental duties, process sales transactions, returns, and refunds, provide proper monetary change, remove security tags and bag merchandise, assist with line vesting and open registers as needed, prepare register areas and confirm equipment functionality, inspect returned merchandise for damages, enter and submit customer orders and verify receipts, look up product and competitor pricing, record store use items, perform cash counting and daily reconciliation, monitor cash drawer and recycler levels, watch merchandise entering and leaving store and assist customers triggering alarms, detect signs of shoplifting and communicate to management, maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas, ensure a safe and secure work environment including conducting safety reviews and adhering to safety requirements, operate store equipment as needed, perform additional duties as assigned
