Employees in this position will engage directly with customers to understand their needs, assist in locating and demonstrating products, carrying or loading merchandise, and providing expert advice on products and warranties. The role requires effective communication skills to guide customers through projects and product selections and the ability to train and support team members to enhance sales and service quality. Additionally, the job encompasses handling sales transactions, maintaining store cleanliness and safety, monitoring for shoplifting and security risks, and utilizing retail technology such as cash registers and inventory systems.

As a member of Lowe's team, the individual will also be responsible for various operational tasks, including register preparation and reconciliation, inventory management, order processing, and equipment operation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement
  • less than 1 year experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • less than 1 year experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
  • 1 year retail experience as a cashier
  • ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Job Duties

  • Provide SMART customer service at all times
  • seek out customers to understand their needs and assist with merchandise
  • respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions
  • communicate information about stock, special orders, benefits, and warranties
  • coach, develop, and train associates
  • process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using cash registers
  • provide proper monetary change to associates for register activities
