Job Description

Located in the heart of Downtown Gainesville, our new hotel offers a modern and inviting environment that caters to both leisure and business travelers. We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional guest experience by combining comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. As a freshly established hotel under the well-known Hyatt brand, our mission is to provide more than just a place to stay - we create memorable moments that exceed expectations. Our elegant yet welcoming facility features thoughtfully designed guest rooms, well-appointed meeting spaces, and carefully curated amenities such as a bakery cafe and a guest kitchen. We are excited to launch this vibrant hub for visitors to Gainesville and contribute positively to the local community and economy.

We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Hotel Host to join our opening team and play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service. This role is perfect for individuals who desire to work in a dynamic environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth. The Hotel Host is the friendly face of our hotel, responsible for greeting guests warmly and offering a guest experience that feels more welcoming than home. The position entails managing several responsibilities, including assembling and preparing welcome amenities, ensuring proper cash handling, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.

Furthermore, the Hotel Host will manage confidential guest information with discretion and respond professionally and promptly to any guest complaints or issues. The role extends to supporting food and beverage operations, which includes bartending and barista duties, adding variety to the daily workload. Our Hotel Host stands at the intersection of multiple guest services: handling the Hotel Host Stand, the Bakery Café, the Guest Kitchen, guest check-in and check-out processes, and servicing meeting rooms. This multi-faceted position requires excellent communication skills, hospitality acumen, and the ability to multi-task efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $14 to $15.50 per hour with opportunities to learn and develop new skills within the hospitality industry. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reliable, and excited to contribute to the success of a new hotel venture. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for exceeding guest expectations while working as part of a supportive team, this role provides a unique platform to launch or grow your career within Hyatt. We value individuals with a strong work ethic, initiative, and flexibility, especially regarding shifts during weekends and holidays, essential to meeting business needs. Joining our opening team means becoming part of a collaborative and progressive hospitality community dedicated to quality service and guest satisfaction.
