This position is typically part-time and requires an individual who excels in interpersonal communication and customer interaction. The Greeter acts as the first point of contact for every customer entering the store, ensuring that guests feel valued and well-informed about the store’s offerings and ongoing promotions. Responsibilities include greeting customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise carefully, providing clear directions, distributing promotional materials, and supporting other front-end tasks necessary for smooth store operations. Greeters are expected to uphold Bass Pro Shops’ brand standards by presenting a professional image, which includes wearing the designated green logo shirt, maintaining visible name badges, and adhering to dress code guidelines. They also play a crucial role in store safety by monitoring the entryway, managing vendor check-ins, and facilitating firearms/weapons check-ins per company policies without directly handling firearms. This position demands excellent organizational skills, adaptability to new processes, self-motivation when working unsupervised, and the ability to communicate effectively. Physical requirements include standing and walking regularly, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various environmental conditions.
