The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of golf carts, maintaining their cleanliness and battery charge, as well as assisting with general upkeep of the golf course grounds. Job Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen years of age
- Able to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to eighty pounds
- Ability to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must adhere to safety and security policies
- High school diploma or GED equivalent or in the process of attaining
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent or in process of attaining
- Knowledge of city policies and procedures
- Understanding of fundamentals of golf and golf course operations
- Knowledge of city safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Skill in safe and efficient operation and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the general public and provide effective customer service
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
Job Duties
- Operates and maintains golf carts including charging batteries, washing and detailing in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures
- Assists in maintaining golf course grounds including storing equipment, locking gates, picking practice areas, and cleaning cart barn
- Recognizes, avoids, and reports unsafe acts, conditions, accidents, and injuries
- Provides courteous and effective customer service to golf course patrons
- Performs other duties as assigned or required
