The role being offered is a vital position within Lowe's operational framework, focusing on the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. This position requires an individual who can manage multiple tasks including picking, staging, inspecting, and ensuring orders are completed on time. Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety in staging areas is a key part of the role to guarantee a seamless customer experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality service through meticulous order validation, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring customers are connected with appropriate associates when needed.

Certified operation and maintenance of powered equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and narrow aisle reach trucks form an integral part of this role. Adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory to maintain a secure working environment. The fulfillment specialist will also support inventory accuracy by leveraging technology, such as the Orders App, to maintain compliance and assist leadership in resolving discrepancies. Additional responsibilities include completing administrative tasks, conducting audits, managing orders, and promptly reporting any safety or theft concerns.

This position demands a customer-first mindset, effective communication, and teamwork skills to achieve daily responsibilities successfully. While primary duties focus on order fulfillment and inventory support, flexibility to undertake other business-related tasks as assigned is essential. Job Requirements

  • 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • 6 months of experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets
  • powered equipment certification including counterbalance forklift, order picker, and narrow aisle reach truck (must be obtained if not already certified)

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 6 months of retail experience preferred
  • 6 months of experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position at a home improvement or hardware retailer in related department preferred
  • 6 months of experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material preferred

Job Duties

  • Pick, stage, inspect, and fulfill customer orders accurately and on time
  • keep staging areas clean, organized, and safe
  • deliver excellent service by choosing high quality items, validating orders, answering questions, and connecting customers with the right associates when needed
  • operate and maintain certification for powered equipment including forklift, order picker, narrow aisle reach truck
  • follow all safety requirements
  • support inventory accuracy by using the Orders App, maintaining SIMS compliance, and partnering with leadership to resolve short picks
  • complete administrative, maintenance, and readiness tasks such as audits, order follow-ups, and locker management
  • report safety or theft concerns promptly
  • achieve daily job responsibilities with a customer-first mindset and strong communication and teamwork skills
  • may be assigned other duties to support business needs
