Job Description

Cherry Hills Christian School is a respected educational institution located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, known for its commitment to nurturing students in a Christ-centered community. The school prioritizes educational excellence, spiritual formation, and fostering a united, mission-driven culture. It aims to develop the whole child — mind, body, and spirit — through a balanced blend of rigorous academics, vibrant arts, and competitive athletics. This holistic approach ensures that students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them not only academically but also spiritually and socially for the future. The institution prides itself on a supportive and engaging environment that encourages students, families, and staff to grow together in faith and knowledge.

The Front Desk Receptionist at Cherry Hills Christian School plays a crucial role as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors, helping to create a welcoming and organized atmosphere within the school. This part-time, hourly, non-exempt position operates during the school year for 40-42 weeks, specifically on Tuesdays and Thursdays and every other Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:45 pm. The receptionist will report directly to the Director of Enrollment and Engagement and will be integral in supporting daily front office operations. Salary for this role ranges from $21.00 to $23.50 per hour, depending on experience.

The role involves a variety of administrative and operational responsibilities including managing communications, supporting scheduling and appointment coordination, maintaining organized records, and assisting with student check-in and check-out procedures. The receptionist must establish positive relationships with children and families, facilitate accurate and timely responses to phone and email inquiries, and collaborate with administrative staff to ensure smooth school operations. Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion is a key component of the role. Additionally, the receptionist will assist with various time-sensitive administrative projects and provide general administrative support as needed.

Working in a dynamic school office environment, the receptionist will interact frequently with a diverse school community, requiring excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a customer-service-focused demeanor. Experience in a similar role, particularly within a school or administrative setting, is preferred, along with proficiency in phone, email, and office software systems. The ideal candidate will be calm and professional in fast-paced situations, detail-oriented, and reliable, embodying the mission and values of Cherry Hills Christian School. This position offers an important opportunity to contribute positively to a lively, nurturing educational community.
