Job Description

FS Residential is a recognized property management company specializing in managing residential buildings and communities with high standards of service and professionalism. The company places emphasis on creating safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environments for residents while also ensuring that operational procedures meet regulatory standards. FS Residential’s staffing philosophy highlights hiring competent personnel who are skilled not only in day-to-day management tasks but also in customer service and emergency response to maintain the integrity and reputation of the properties they manage.

The Part Time Front Desk Associate position at FS Residential is crucial for maintaining a secure and welcoming environment in residential buildings. This role requires an individual who can work independently without direct supervision while demonstrating strong communication, telephone, and customer service skills. The Front Desk Associate acts as the initial point of contact for residents, guests, and service providers, managing check-in and check-out processes efficiently and courteously. Apart from greeting visitors, the associate is responsible for monitoring access control systems and maintaining daily logs and records with accuracy.

Given the nature of residential buildings, the associate must have a keen awareness of emergency response protocols and access control procedures. The role involves operating electronic security systems and being vigilant to handle any safety issues such as fire panel operations or water shutoffs related to fire systems. While prior experience with fire alarm panels is preferred, candidates with common sense and willingness to be trained will be considered. English and Spanish bilingual candidates are particularly encouraged to apply to better serve the diverse resident population.

The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, perform light cleaning tasks like picking up trash or cleaning lobby spills, and remain professional while enforcing building policies. It also demands dependability and flexibility, including the ability to remain on duty longer if relief is delayed. The dress code mandates wearing black attire until uniform provision. Candidates must possess computer literacy, with basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and web browsing to prepare incident reports and search for information effectively. This part-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of $18 and involves shifts on Monday afternoons and Friday and Saturday nights, catering to coverage needs during critical hours.

Overall, the Front Desk Associate role at FS Residential combines elements of customer service, security monitoring, administrative documentation, and emergency preparedness. It offers a dynamic work environment for professionals aiming to contribute to property management through consistent performance, attention to detail, and superior interpersonal skills. The company encourages growth through its support and provides accommodations for candidates with disabilities to ensure an inclusive hiring process. This comprehensive role is ideal for individuals seeking part-time employment in property management with excellent benefits and opportunities for learning and development.
