Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt standards
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary workplace language
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Basic math and computer competency
  • Knowledge of hotel services and local area
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Capacity to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand workplace languages
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computational and computer skills
  • Extensive knowledge of hotel services and local attractions
  • Ability to perform moderate physical tasks such as standing and lifting up to 15 lbs
  • Commitment to guest service excellence
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
  • Register guests, verifying reservations and payment information
  • Promote the preferred guest program and recognize current members
  • Accept payment for guest accounts and maintain accurate daily reports
  • Issue keys and control access to safety deposit boxes
  • Respond promptly and resolve guest complaints
  • Answer telephone inquiries politely and efficiently
  • Take reservations and perform check-ins and check-outs accurately
  • Assist guests with luggage and transportation services if applicable
  • Provide knowledgeable information about hotel services and local area attractions
  • Handle messages, wake-up calls, mail, and guest requests
  • Follow company standard operating procedures
  • Work enthusiastically and positively with team members
  • Maintain professional conduct and foster good relationships with co-workers
  • Use time effectively and communicate openly with departments
  • Accept feedback and respond positively to new ideas
  • Adhere to safety and security policies
  • Actively seek opportunities to upsell rooms and amenities
  • Ensure accurate completion of shift closing procedures
  • Stay informed about hotel operations and upcoming VIP arrivals
