We are currently seeking a front desk associate to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth and professional interactions with guests from the moment they arrive until their departure. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, processing payments, and providing information about our hotel services and facilities. This position requires not only technical proficiency in front office computer systems and reservation procedures but also a warm and engaging demeanor to provide outstanding customer service. Working as part of our front office team, you will assist guests with check-in and check-out processes, handle special requests, and manage room allocations efficiently. You will also be responsible for accurate cash handling and ensuring all billing transactions are posted correctly. This is an in-office role that demands excellent organizational skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and the flexibility to work varying schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. In addition, physical requirements include the ability to sit for prolonged periods, perform fine motor tasks related to computer use, and occasionally lift light items such as files or office supplies. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous front desk or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work varying schedules including nights weekends and holidays
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods and perform fine motor tasks
  • Ability to occasionally lift 10 to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in front desk or customer service role preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to operate front office computer systems or manual systems efficiently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle cash and perform accurate transactions
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Flexibility to work nights weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet and communicate cordially with guests promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel
  • Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
  • Promptly accurately and efficiently know how and where to post all charges
  • Have complete working knowledge of front office computer or manual system including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often
  • Accurately manage cash handling including receiving cash checks and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly
  • Review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly
  • Have knowledge of hotel rates discounts and how to handle each
  • Have working knowledge of reservations and procedures including how to take same day reservations and take reservations in approximately 2 minutes
  • Know and follow cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary
