The role being offered is that of a Front Desk Agent, a key position responsible for the initial and final guest interactions during their stay. The Front Desk Agent will be integral in ensuring guests feel welcomed, assisted, and valued throughout their visit.
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be tasked with welcoming guests warmly and professionally, managing check-in and check-out processes efficiently, and handling payment transactions securely and accurately. This includes issuing room keys, providing information about hotel services and local amenities, and responding promptly and courteously to guest phone inquiries. This role also involves promoting hotel occupancy by up-selling rooms and services where appropriate, managing guest requests and complaints with tact and care, and performing administrative duties such as processing reservations, cancellations, and updates. Strong communication and problem-solving skills will be essential, along with the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Working at the front desk requires attentiveness, a friendly demeanor, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure as the face of the hotel’s guest services. You will be expected to coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and contribute positively to teamwork and overall guest satisfaction. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year experience in front desk or guest services
- ability to stand frequently behind the desk
- capability to carry or lift up to 50 pounds
- proficient in handling computer equipment and property management systems
- excellent communication skills
- basic math skills
- ability to read and write effectively

Job Duties
- Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner
- register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location
- answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner
- up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue
- accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures including posting charges, completing reports, preparing deposits, and securing assigned bank
- issue, control and release guest safe-deposit boxes
- communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management requiring follow-up
- respond appropriately to guest complaints and make service recovery gestures to ensure satisfaction
- book guest reservations for individuals and groups, process cancellations, revisions, and updates
- promote team work and quality service through communications and coordination with other departments
- perform other duties including guest room tours, concierge services, and special guest requests
