Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform and name tag
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards according to scheduling
- Comply with Avion Hospitality policies, standards, and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations
- Greet and welcome all guests approaching the front desk warmly following company standards
- Maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard meeting performance standards
- Handle requests for information, mail, and messages efficiently and courteously
- Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation
- Answer inquiries regarding local restaurants, transportation, and entertainment
- Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments
- Be aware of all rates, packages, special promotions, in-house groups, and restricted dates
- Obtain necessary information when taking room reservations and adhere to rate quoting procedures
- Be familiar with company policies, hospitality terminology, and emergency procedures
- Handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner
- Operate all relevant aspects of the front desk computer system
- Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms
- Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with associates
- Deliver guest items such as luggage, newspapers, messages, and amenities as needed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property amenities, special events, local attractions, and things to do around the hotel
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting coworkers and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the hotel and grounds
