Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred
  • previous food service experience is preferred, but not required
  • criminal background check
  • ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to work 28.75 hours per week for 180 days annually
  • reliable transportation to work location

Job Duties

  • Prepares and serves meals in a school cafeteria
  • provides excellent customer service to all students, staff, parents, and visitors with a positive and professional attitude
  • follows menu instructions and portion sizes, and adjusts based on student count
  • adheres to all Health Department guidelines to ensure food safety
  • records and maintains food and equipment temperature logs
  • participates and maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen
  • assists in stocking storage areas with food and non-food supplies
  • performs any and all other duties as assigned
