As the first point of contact, event security staff serve as welcoming representatives who interact directly with guests, providing guidance and assistance while upholding the company’s standard of professionalism and hospitality.

The Event Security role demands a strong ability to establish rapport with diverse guests and team members, addressing concerns using de-escalation techniques and responding effectively to high-stress and emergency situations. Staff are expected to be vigilant, maintaining a watchful eye for any signs of intoxication, disorderly behavior, theft, or property damage. They play a vital role in managing guest flow and ensuring safe access to various areas of the property. Moreover, the position requires knowledge of Michigan alcohol laws and maintaining ServSafe Alcohol Certification, underscoring the importance of responsible alcohol management at events.

Event Security colleagues must embody the company’s cultural values and demonstrate an understanding of the event layout and property features, enabling them to assist guests efficiently. The role includes coordinating discreet communication with other staff and leadership regarding safety concerns, verifying credentials or IDs at access points when needed, and supporting emergency responses as directed.

Physically, the position requires the stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, the strength to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds, and the ability to work outdoors amid varying weather conditions and noise levels typical of busy event days.
