This role demands thorough knowledge of audiovisual (A/V) systems, live streaming platforms, and event support technologies. The position is hourly wage-based and categorized as part-time, requiring onsite work and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. - Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds independently
- Availability for flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Understanding of audiovisual equipment, multimedia applications, and live streaming platforms
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with diverse audiences
- Strong customer service, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to safely move items up to 50 pounds
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- At least six months experience in audiovisual tech support preferred
- Willingness to learn audiovisual and streaming tools
- Familiarity with higher education preferred
Job Duties
- Assist the audio visual manager with all A/V systems setup and support of live streaming platforms
- Respond to and troubleshoot technical issues during events
- Verify all equipment requests are set up as per event specifications including tables, chairs, and audiovisual equipment
- Maintain order and safety in storerooms and clear aisles and mechanical equipment areas
- Assist the event manager with program needs while enforcing user responsibilities
- Identify maintenance issues or damages in event spaces and report them to the event manager
