Job Description
WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is a renowned family-owned and majority women-operated company founded in 2010 in Utah. The company has grown to become a recognized pioneer in the industry of valet trash and recycling services, serving apartment communities not only across Utah but also in Nevada and Idaho. Their innovative and customer-focused approach has set industry standards and earned WSI a strong reputation for reliable and professional service. WSI emphasizes employee growth and internal promotion, reflecting their commitment to investing in their workforce and developing future leaders within the organization.
The position available is for an Evening Field Support Lead covering Mid-Salt Lake Valley, including areas from West Valley to Salt Lake City and Draper. This is a part-time evening role, ideal for someone seeking consistent, manageable shifts with leadership opportunities. The shifts run Monday through Friday, starting around 5:30 PM and lasting between 3 to 5 hours, ensuring employees are finished by 11 PM most nights. Competitive pay ranges between $20 and $25 per hour, based on the assignment and site needs, with mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate. Typical weekly hours are approximately 15 to 20.
As an Evening Field Support Lead, your role is pivotal to maintaining the company's service quality. You will oversee nightly trash and recycling valet routes across apartment communities, provide on-site support to Valet Porters, and step in to perform collection duties as needed. Your responsibilities will include collecting bagged trash, recyclables, and cardboard from residents’ doors and transporting them to dumpsters, chutes, or compactors. You will monitor recycling for contamination and ensure proper sorting, using a mobile app to document route activities, issue compliance notices, upload photos, and maintain cleanliness around waste disposal areas.
The role requires physical stamina, including extensive walking, stair navigation, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with all tasks performed outdoors in various weather conditions. Candidates should be comfortable working in an active, hands-on role and willing to travel within the Northern Salt Lake Valley, Weber County, and Cache County. While prior valet trash, porter, or field operations experience is a plus, it is not mandatory as full training is provided.
WSI values reliability, professionalism, and self-motivation, offering a supportive environment where leadership skills are nurtured. The company provides a clear advancement pathway from Field Support Lead to District Manager and other operations leadership roles, highlighting its strong culture of internal promotion and career development.
This opportunity presents an ideal fit for individuals seeking flexible evening work without weekend commitments, who appreciate short shifts that fit around their day. It is also suitable for those looking for supplemental income, night jobs, or active, non-desk work with real responsibility and leadership growth. The role is inclusive to a diverse workforce, committed to equal opportunity employment regardless of race, gender identity, disability, or veteran status. If you are ready to join an innovative, employee-centric company where you can grow while making a tangible impact, WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is eager to hear from you. Apply today and become part of a team dedicated to service excellence and community care.
