Job Description

AACI is a dedicated organization focused on substance abuse prevention and education, striving to create a positive impact in the lives of community members by offering support, counseling, and educational services for those affected by substance-related issues. The organization is committed to fostering healthier lifestyles through evidence-based interventions, education programs, and supportive counseling tailored to individuals struggling with substance use, specifically targeting those impacted by impaired driving offenses. AACI operates remotely, allowing a flexible working environment for its team members, and emphasizes a culture of compassion, respect, and empowerment for clients and staff alike.

We are currently seeking a part-time DUI Instructor / Counselor to join our team and help further our mission. This role plays a vital part in the delivery of DUI education and counseling services designed to inform and support individuals charged with Driving Under the Influence. The selected candidate will conduct interviews and assessments, lead group education classes and individual counseling sessions, and teach first and multiple offender DUI classes. This position requires evening availability from Monday through Thursday, accommodating the schedules of participants who often need services outside of typical business hours.

As a DUI Instructor / Counselor, you will be pivotal in guiding participants toward a clear understanding of the legal, physical, and social consequences associated with impaired driving. More importantly, you will equip them with the knowledge, tools, and strategies necessary to adopt and maintain substance-free lifestyles. Maintaining accurate client records and adhering to strict confidentiality standards will be essential responsibilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting effective case management.

This part-time role offers competitive pay ranging from $25.50 to $29.50 per hour and provides the opportunity to contribute to meaningful community change. The successful candidate will possess at least two years of counseling experience with individuals facing alcohol or substance use challenges and will hold a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADAC) certification. Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office, Zoom, and DocuSign is preferred to facilitate smooth virtual operations. Additionally, bilingual Spanish skills are advantageous, reflecting the diverse community AACI serves.

Joining AACI means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to education, prevention, and positive behavioral change. If you are committed to supporting individuals in overcoming substance use challenges and promoting responsible decision-making, this role provides a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact while working remotely in a flexible, supportive environment.
