This particular job opportunity at Cox is for an Auction Vehicle Handler role, a critical position within the auction process responsible for the safe and organized movement of vehicles on auction properties. This full-time position operates on a Monday through Thursday schedule, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a competitive hourly pay rate of $17.33. The Auction Vehicle Handler is tasked with driving vehicles through auction lanes during designated sale days, helping facilitate smooth and secure vehicle flow, which is key to successful auction events.

Key responsibilities of the role include safely driving vehicles to and from various locations including auction lots and customer dealerships, staging vehicles in proper sequences as directed by supervisors, and locating misplaced vehicles efficiently. The handler will also be expected to assist in minor vehicle maintenance tasks such as inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles using provided equipment. This role requires adherence to strict safety and health procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees and customers.

Candidates selected for this position will be playing an essential role in ensuring that the auction process runs without delays or incidents. They will be expected to demonstrate courteous and defensive driving skills, work collaboratively with team members and customers, and participate actively in the company’s safety programs. Overtime work may be required during peak business periods.
