This position is integral to Cox's auction operations, involving the safe moving, staging, and parking of vehicles on auction property. The role requires driving vehicles both on the auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses, ensuring all movements are carried out in compliance with auction safety rules and regulations. The role requires vigilance in following safe driving and operational procedures, working collaboratively with team leaders and supervisors to line up and park vehicles, and assisting customers and coworkers as needed. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities such as helping to get vehicles operational when necessary, including inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
The work schedule is set as Monday and Tuesday from 9am to 4pm, Wednesday from 9am to 6pm, and Thursday from 9am to 1pm, providing a structured and balanced workweek for employees. The hourly pay rate is competitive at $13.80, with potential for additional earnings through commission or incentive programs. - Valid driver’s license
- ability to enter and exit vehicles constantly
- ability to sit for prolonged periods
- ability to walk long distances
- regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
- frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
- ability to lift 1-15 pounds
- vision abilities including close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission
- previous auction experience
- ability to safely operate vehicles
- strong commitment to safety procedures
- good communication skills

Job Duties
- Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner
- drive vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises and customer businesses while observing driving rules and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving
- line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor or team leader and locate lost vehicles
- assist with getting vehicles operational by inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles
- notify supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative or out of gas
- assist customers and coworkers as needed
- follow all safety and health procedures and participate in safety activities
- perform other duties as assigned by management
