Job Description

Cox Auctions is a leading auction company specializing in vehicle sales, providing a streamlined and efficient marketplace for dealers, rental agencies, and individual customers to buy and sell vehicles with ease and confidence. Known for its commitment to customer service and operational excellence, Cox Auctions has built a reputation for a safe, transparent, and professional auction environment. Their facility is equipped with modern infrastructure and staffed by experts who manage the complex logistics of vehicle handling and sales, ensuring smooth operations for all stakeholders involved. Cox Auctions operates in a fast-paced, dynamic setting that values safety, teamwork, and clear communication among its employees.

This particular role at Cox Auctions is designed for a responsible and safety-conscious individual who will be integral to the day-to-day logistical operations on the auction floor. The position primarily involves the safe moving, staging, and parking of vehicles within the auction property. Beyond internal logistics, this role requires driving vehicles to and from designated auction lots and also to customer dealerships or business locations. The operator will also handle the critical task of driving vehicles through sale lanes on auction days, all in strict adherence to the company’s safety rules and traffic regulations. Available shifts are Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, with a commitment of up to 20 hours per week, offering a part-time employment opportunity that provides flexibility for students or individuals seeking supplemental income.

The job demands physical activity including frequent entering and exiting of vehicles, walking long distances, and performing duties that require stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Employees will be expected to assist in minor vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire inflation and jump-starting vehicles using available equipment, and will need to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and customers. Safety is a paramount priority—those hired must demonstrate an active commitment to safety procedures and participate in safety activities designed to uphold the highest standards at Cox Auctions. Compensation for this role starts at $21.11 per hour and may include eligibility for commission and incentive programs, reflecting the company’s recognition of employee contributions and performance. Benefits include comprehensive health care insurance covering medical, dental, and vision, along with retirement planning through a 401(k) plan, and paid time off encompassing sick leave, parental leave, and flexible vacation/wellness days. This position requires current authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship and promotes equal employment opportunities for all qualified candidates including individuals with disabilities and veterans.
