Job Description

Cox is a well-established company known for its automotive auction services that facilitate the buying and selling of vehicles across various regions. As a leader in the automotive auction industry, Cox boasts a reputation for providing efficient, transparent, and trustworthy services to its customers, including dealerships, rental agencies, and private sellers. The company prioritizes safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction, ensuring a seamless experience through every step of the auction process. Cox operates large auction properties where vehicles are managed, moved, and organized meticulously to maintain the flow of business and uphold safety standards.

This position is designed for driven individuals who seek work that combines attention to detail, responsibility, and safe vehicle operation. The role primarily involves the safe moving, staging, and parking of vehicles across the auction property, driving vehicles to and from various lots, customer dealerships, and assisting with auction sale day operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by adhering to all safety policies and procedures and actively participating in safety-related activities.

Operating during designated shifts from Monday to Friday with varied hours, including early mornings and mid-afternoon schedules, this is a critical role that supports the auction’s daily operations. Compensation starts at $15.50 per hour, with potential for additional earnings through commissions and incentive programs, reflecting the company’s dedication to rewarding exceptional performance.

The role requires individuals to be physically active, involving frequent walking, standing, bending, and driving vehicles, sometimes for extended periods. Candidates must have excellent vision capabilities, a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive vehicles with both automatic and standard transmissions. Additionally, prior experience in an automotive auction or related driving environments is preferred, but not mandatory.

Working at Cox offers a dynamic environment with frequent exposure to varying weather conditions and moderate noise levels, reflective of an active auction yard. The company supports employee well-being through a comprehensive benefits package that includes health care options (medical, dental, and vision), retirement planning benefits such as 401(k), and various paid time off options covering sick leave, parental leave, flexible vacation, and wellness days.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship, as Cox is an equal opportunity employer embracing diversity and inclusivity, including disability and veterans. This job is ideal for individuals who value safety, efficiency, and teamwork while contributing to a fast-paced, customer-centric automotive auction environment. Joining Cox means becoming part of a reputable organization with established standards and the opportunity for personal and professional growth within the automotive auction sector.
