Job Description
Valet Living is a leading service provider in the multi-family housing industry, dedicated to enhancing the living experience of residents by maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable apartment communities. They specialize in providing doorstep trash and recycling collection services, which help to keep apartment properties neat and environmentally friendly. Valet Living operates with a focus on employment fairness and values diversity, offering opportunities without discrimination based on race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. This commitment has made them a trusted and respected company in the industry, widely known for its reliable services and employee-centric policies.
Valet Living is currently hiring part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, also referred to as Service Valets, to work evening shifts within local apartment communities in Southfield. This role involves servicing one or more nearby apartment complexes, collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling right from the residents’ doorsteps, and making sure this waste is properly disposed of at on-site compactors. What makes this opportunity unique is the focus on local, consistent work with no long-distance travel or off-site dumping requirements. The position is particularly ideal for individuals seeking steady evening hours and supplemental income, such as those looking for a second job or additional earnings alongside other commitments. The work schedule typically involves 10-15 hours per week, mainly from Sunday to Thursday evenings, starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM, providing flexibility and predictable routines suitable for various lifestyles.
Service Valets must use their own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer to perform the essential collection tasks. Responsibilities include walking the property, climbing stairs, and actively moving during the shift in outdoor environments of varied weather conditions. Valet Living supports its workers with safety equipment such as gloves and vests and provides a mobile app for tracking assignments, clocking in, and verifying work with photos. The pay rate for truck owners is $20 per hour, and helpers earn $18 per hour, with fast payment methods like DailyPay enhancing the financial convenience of this role.
This part-time job offers not only steady pay and consistent hours but also a chance for personal growth and career advancement—over half of all Area Leaders come from internal promotions. Employees appreciate the active nature of the role, the flexibility it offers to balance other responsibilities, and referral bonuses that reward expanding the team. If you are a dependable person with a valid driver's license, proper insurance, your own pickup or trailer capability, and a smartphone with a data plan, you are invited to join Valet Living’s team. This position is a perfect blend of practical outdoor work with a reliable, community-focused employer offering quick hiring and prompt payment to support your lifestyle and financial goals.
