Job Description
Valet Living is a nationally recognized service company specializing in providing residential and community services that help maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living environments for residents of apartment communities. Established with a commitment to customer satisfaction and community enhancement, Valet Living operates with an emphasis on reliability, efficiency, and respect for the neighborhoods they serve. Their services cater mainly to multi-family residential properties, focusing on making everyday living convenient and pleasant for tenants by attending to various essential tasks. Known for their attentive and professional approach, Valet Living stands as a trusted partner to property managers and residents alike.
The position available is for a part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as a Service Valet, designed with flexibility and community focus in mind. This role supports apartment communities by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from the doorsteps of residents each evening, ensuring that these items are removed promptly so that by morning the community remains clean and welcoming. The job uniquely requires the use of a personal open-bed pickup truck or a similar vehicle with a trailer, making it suited for individuals who are self-reliant and have dependable transportation. The work is local, so there is no need for long-distance travel or off-site dumping, which helps in maintaining a close connection with the assigned community.
Offering steady evening hours typically ranging between 10 and 15+ hours per week, candidates will benefit from a consistent schedule usually running Sunday through Thursday, starting after 7:00 or 8:00 PM. This schedule is ideal for those seeking a supplementary income alongside another job, school, or family responsibilities. Compensation is competitive at $23 per hour with fast payment options such as DailyPay, enabling workers to access their earnings swiftly. Beyond the financial benefits, the role encourages physical activity and outdoor work, as Specialists stay active by walking, climbing stairs, and servicing the community on foot while handling the trash and recycling collection.
The role also involves using a mobile application to efficiently manage daily tasks including checking in, tracking progress, and capturing photographic evidence when required. This integration of technology streamlines operations and supports timely reporting. Valet Living values safety and provides necessary safety equipment such as gloves and vests, supporting a safe working environment for all employees.
In essence, the Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist role at Valet Living is tailored for compassionate, active individuals who want part-time, local evening work that offers steady pay, community impact, and a supportive work environment. It is an excellent opportunity for those who thrive in independent roles, enjoy physical activity, and wish to contribute positively to their neighborhood’s upkeep.
