Job Description
Valet Living is a renowned service-oriented company dedicated to enhancing the living experience within apartment communities across the United States. Specializing in residential waste collection and community service, Valet Living prides itself on providing exceptional doorstep trash and recycling pickup services that contribute to cleaner, safer, and more comfortable environments for residents. With a commitment to convenience and environmental responsibility, the company has established a trusted reputation by maintaining a consistent local presence and offering dependable, friendly service that residents can rely on. Valet Living operates with a vision to support communities by managing waste collection efficiently, reducing clutter and contributing to sustainability efforts through organized recycling programs.
The role of a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist (also known as a Service Valet) is a vital position within Valet Living. It offers a part-time evening opportunity perfect for individuals seeking steady work close to home, without the burden of long-distance travel or off-site disposal requirements. This role is designed to be fulfilling for those who value physical activity combined with a customer-service mindset, and who have reliable transportation in the form of a personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer. Service Valets are assigned to service one or more apartment communities within a localized area, ensuring residents' trash and cardboard recycling is collected efficiently from their doorsteps and taken to an on-site compactor.
This position typically involves working approximately 10 to 15+ hours per week during the evening, usually scheduled Sunday through Thursday nights starting after 7:00 to 8:00 PM, although alternative schedules may be offered. Pay rates are competitive at $23 per hour for those operating their own truck and $20 per hour for helpers, making this an attractive supplementary income source or second job. Employees enjoy consistent, reliable hours paired with a fast pay system via DailyPay, providing financial flexibility and stability. Valet Living emphasizes safety by providing gloves, safety vests, and necessary equipment, ensuring team members can work comfortably in various weather conditions. This is also a career path with growth opportunities, as internal promotions are common for dedicated employees.
Using the company’s intuitive mobile app, specialists check in, track their work progress, and document completed tasks with photos, simplifying workflow management and communication. This role requires the ability to work independently, be physically active—walking extensively around properties, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds—and maintain a consistent routine. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S., have a valid driver's license and auto insurance, and own a suitable vehicle. If you are looking for a flexible part-time evening job with fast pay, close to where you live, and an opportunity to contribute positively to your local community, this role offers an excellent fit within Valet Living's supportive work culture.
